Radiologic Tech (ARRT)

Operates and maintains equipment and takes radiographs of various portions of the body to assist radiologist in detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of disease and injuries.

Positions patients under machine and regulates controls.

May perform x-ray examinations under sterile, surgical conditions.

May also process exposed film by automatic developer or hand tank solution.

A Level 1 Radiologic Technologist provides healthcare customer services to patients, families and guests of all ages. A radiologic technologist performs radiographic procedures and related techniques producing diagnostic imaging information for the interpretation by and at the request of a licensed practitioner The Radiologic Technologist Level 1 exercises professional judgment in performance of services while maintaining a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Level 1 technologists are required to control and maintained a safe examination and working environment.  A radiologic technologist must be licensed by the State of Arkansas and the ARRT registry is preferred. 

Required:

• Must possess an Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License
• BLS Certification
• Completion of a recognized program of Radiological Science and Technology
• Must have a copy of a diploma or official transcript of the highest level of education.
