NATS Transportation Services Coordinator

The NATS Coordinator works under the general supervision of the NATS Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include dispatching, administration and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Answer telephone.
  2. Provide customers with information regarding NATS services and fares.
  3. Schedule customers for transport.
  4. Assign trips to NATS drivers using Para Plan scheduling software.
  5. Maintain records for drivers, Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay customers.
  6. Maintain current credentialling records for drivers such as CPR, and Defensive Driver.
  7. Assist the Operations Manager in various tasks relating to daily operations of NATS.
  8. Perform general clerical duties.
  9. Photocopying, faxing, and emailing documents.
  10. Create and modify various documents using Microsoft Office software.
  11. Reconcile weekly cash fares and submit for deposit in NATS bank.
  12. Provide monthly private pay-billing to administrative assistant.
  13. Assist administrative assistant with mileage reports.
  14. All other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.

REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES:

  1. Excellent telephone skills.
  2. Clear, precise, speaking with a calm and friendly voice.
  3. Recognize distress, fear, worry, or anxiety in customer’s voice, empathize in reassurances.
  4. Diffuse escalating anxiety and angry customers.
  5. Cultivate strong relationships with customers, keeping knowledge of needs and habits.
  6. Proficient knowledge of Medicare/ Medicaid regulations, regarding customer and broker.
  7. Proficient knowledge of HIPPA.
  8. Proficient knowledge of NATS policies and procedures.
  9. Proficient knowledge of general record keeping practices.
  10. Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  11. Must pass random, reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school diploma or GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  1. Ability to speak in a pleasant voice, and articulate information clearly.
  2. Strong communications skills including composing email, and other business communications.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  1. General math skills and some business math.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  1. Proficient knowledge of 10 key calculator, keyboard, and iPad, software programs, portals, and Microsoft Office.
  2. Proficient typing.

REASONING ABILITY:

  1. Ability to recognize unsafe or unethical situations and divert drivers away from such situations.

Both positions are full time and we do have a benefits package as well as all federal holidays off plus 2 more. PTO is 15 days per year as well.
