CASA of North Arkansas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for children in foster care. Our trained volunteers serve as a voice for children who have experienced abuse or neglect, ensuring their best interests are represented in court and in the community.

Position Overview

The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in recruiting, training, and supporting CASA volunteers who advocate for children in the foster care system. This position requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with volunteers, staff, and community partners. This position is not eligible for remote work. The Volunteer Coordinator is required to work on-site and must be available to attend court hearings and case-related meetings as part of their regular responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and onboard new CASA volunteers
  • Coordinate and facilitate volunteer training programs
  • Provide ongoing supervision and support to assigned volunteers
  • Assist with case assignments and monitor case progress
  • Attend court hearings and case-related meetings
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in case management systems
  • Communicate effectively with court personnel, DHS, and community partners
  • Ensure compliance with CASA standards and internal policies
  • Assist with outreach and community engagement efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, education, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience working with volunteers, children, or families (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and case management software
  • Ability to pass required background checks

  • Sound judgment and ability to maintain professional boundaries

Compensation & Benefits

  • $17.00 – $17.50 per hour, based on experience
  • Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, and Mileage Reimbursement
